Installation of two zebra crossings at Waveney Avenue
Installation of two zebra crossings at Waveney Avenue will shortly be starting as part of the highway works programme for 2022/2023.
The works have been programmed by Bedford Borough Council’s contractor, Breheny Civil Engineering Ltd and are planned to start on 6th March 2023. The works are currently planned to be completed by 26th May 2023, as follows:

During the hours of the road closure a diversion route will be in place via Brickhill Drive and Kimbolton Road.
A letter (view here : Waveney Avenue Zebra Crossing Resident Letter) will be going out to all affected residents shortly informing them of the works and access arrangements during the work.
