I have lived in De Parys ward in Bedford for over 35 years with my wife and 4 children, now all grown up.  I have been a Borough Councillor serving De Parys ward for the last 20 years, dealing with issues such as the condition of our local roads, pavements, trees, parking and speeding.  I also serve on the board of the Bedford Citizens Housing Association and have been a governor of several local schools.  I am a chartered accountant, working mostly on international development projects, and am currently studying for a PhD.
