Mark has been a councillor on Brickhill Parish Council since it was set-up in May 2004, serving as Chair throughout this period. He had been a member of Brickhill Urban Community Council for a short period leading up to the setting up of Brickhill Parish. He has also been a Borough Councillor representing the Mallard Hill/Brickhill Drive area for eight years, while that area was in De Parys ward.
Mark has lived in Bedford for more than 30 years and works as an IT project manager. His personal interests include conservation, renewable energy and tackling fuel poverty. He served as a school governor for more than 20 years, most recently on Beauchamp Middle School’s governing body.

Peter is a retired industrial chemist who also worked at the European Technical Centre in St Neots, a division of a US based chemical company originally on research and development but for the final 10 years, as European Technical Co-ordinator.
Peter has lived in Brickhill for 50 years. He joined the Brickhill Urban Community Council in 2000 and was elected as a councillor in 2004 when it became a Parish Council. For the last eleven years he has been the Chair of the Planning Committee.
Since an early age Peter has been interested in sustainable transport – buses, cycling and trains – evolving over the years into environment, road safety and highway infrastructure.

Wendy moved to Bedford in 1975 as a social worker and this heralded the start of a dedication to our community which has lasted for over 40 years culminating in her current roles as both a serving Parish Councillor and for the last 7 years, as an elected Borough Councillor.
Wendy has been a passionate supporter of The Girl Guide Association since 1975, ran the Brickhill Community Centre for a time and for the last 20 years, has managed St Mark’s Church Community Centre.
Wendy brings a significant level of experience to her role and has been a serving member of Brickhill Parish Council from the outset and the Urban Community Council, its predecessor, before that.

Morris has lived in Bedford for 17 years. At the moment he is working as an interpreter and translator. He was a voluntary School Governor at St John Rigby Lower School in Putnoe, for 6 years and a voluntary Police Custody Visitor for 4 years.
Morris has an unshakeable belief in the power of education to change people’s lives, and as such, over the years, he has taught English as a Foreign Language to many local people voluntarily. At present, he is a volunteer at the BRASS office in Bedford and a member of the Christians against Torture Group.

Vince has been active in local politics for a number of years supporting the Liberal Democrats, finally joining the Liberal Democratic Party as a member in 2014.
He is also actively involved with St Mark’s Church, in various roles and a member of our Allotments and Open Spaces Committee

Michael was born in Bedford and has lived, schooled and worked here ever since. He has always been involved and active in community issues and causes and that continued when he moved to Woodlands Park in 2010, where he was a founding member of the Woodlands Park Residents Association. It’s his belief that parish councils should be free of party politics, and so serves as an independent councillor, having won a February 2018 by-election.
He is a single parent who has an interest in special needs education, electric cars, environmental issues and animal welfare.

I am involved in an organisation called Our Minds Matter where we sign post people towards First Aid mental health training. I particularly like this topic as I like to help people who suffer from mental health.
I’ve worked for Bedford Hospital for 19 years and I am now working at MSK on Kimbolton Road. I won the Care And Compassion award in 2017 from Bedford Hospital as well as the High Sheriff Award in 2018 for my work in the community.

I have lived in the Parish of Brickhill for nearly 10 years with my husband and two children. I am very interested in environmental stewardship, sustainable development and education. I have been a geography teacher for 20 years and currently work as an Assistant Headteacher at St Thomas More within the Parish.
