North Ward Parish Councillors

Born and raised in Luton, educated locally and at Mander College, moved to Brickhill in 1995, married. Recently took up the offer of early retirement after 41 years in the telecommunications industry. Proud to be a Trade Union member (CWU).

Interests include public transport, industrial history & architecture and politics.

Stefan was born and educated in Bedford and has spent the majority of his life living in the town. His first family home from birth was off Tyne Crescent in Brickhill, and he has lived in his current home, in Brickhill, since 2014 with his wife and two sons. Stefan has worked within the commercial energy sector since 2009.

He has joined Brickhill Parish Council because he is passionate about local education, inclusivity and opportunities for all in the community.

I was a forces child living in Egypt, Berlin and Cyprus before returning to Newcastle upon Tyne. My only skill was in football ,but a car crash stopped that aged 16. Due to a great teacher I studied law and qualified in 1976 having moved to Bedfordshire to do my Articles at the County Council.

I moved to private practice not long afterwards working in Crime and Child Abuse cases which continued for 46 years.

In 1996 I was appointed a part time Judge trying, over time, Criminal, Care , and Sexual cases.

20 years ago I became a Coroner working in Beds and Cambs for 4-6 weeks a year. I was asked to do Jury Inquests, normally the most complicated.

In 2015 I was invited to become the County Under Sheriff which I did for 5 years.

I still work Mondays helping LIP at the Family Court with the student’s of the local University.

I retired in the midst of Covid as I attained the retirement age and although asked to stay on to clear long delayed trials, the Government announced they had enough Judge’s. They were wrong as we now know, but I declined to return.
